Students can learn all over the world, and even if you are not a student you become one when you travel the world. Learning about new cultures something that is usually taught to students through a textbook with vocabulary words to memorize, but learning about a culture first hand is much more effective and enriching. There are lots of programs through schools and non-profit organizations that encourage and will even fund students to travel the world.
One experience I would love to participate in is Semester at Sea. In this program, you spend a semester on a cruise ship traveling around the world exploring all sorts of cultures. It would be an incredible experience. The costs vary on your program, but since it is an education related trip, you can apply for financial aid and scholarships. Not only would you travel the world, but you would be able to do it at a price unavailable once you graduate, saving you thousands of dollars.
