Eggs, Protein and Cooking

Eggs are one of the easiest, most useful products in the entire supermarket. They are high in protein and are very cheap. You can make omelets, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, etc. You can eat them with hash browns, on toast, or on a little English muffin. They also cook very quickly and require minimum dishes. The one drawback is that the yolks contain quite a bit of cholesterol and fat, and if you eat eggs more than twice a week, this could pose a problem. A friend of mine used to play college football, and he would eat eight eggs every morning, but would leave the yolks of only two eggs in the frying pan, so it was healthy while still maintaining high amounts of protein.

While eggs are one of the easiest products to manipulate, you do not want to eat eggs all of the time, and for a variety in your diet I would recommend you look on the Internet for easy to make recipes. There are thousands of websites where people can post recipes for the public. Gone are the days of cookbooks and recipe swapping. Now people can simply look online for a great new recipe to try. The Food Network posts lots of great recipes, as do many other media websites.
