Most musicians are trying to get a record label at all costs. They believe the only way to become famous is by signing with a large label. For one celebrity and rising rapper, this isn’t the case. Drake, a young rap artist, is making a name for himself through the Internet and countless blogs. He has no record deal currently, but still sells out clubs and venues quickly. Many people see him as the next big thing and expects he will soon sign with a label. He is taking his time though, since he is making plenty of money on his own right now. Not all musicians make money selling Cd’s. Some, like Drake, make money playing shows and selling merchandise on their own.
