When you invest in real estate, it is less about the land you buy, and more the land around the land you buy. Purchasing a valuable piece of real estate requires you to know or at least speculate what will be put around that property. If nothing goes around your property, the value won’t go up no matter how beautiful you make it look. When people make big money in real estate investments, it is because they happened to guess the next area that was going to be developed. For instance, if you own a piece of land and then someone decides to put a mall next door, your land just went up quite a bit.
