Top 5 Worst Holiday Candies

Whenever the holidays roll around Americans get sucked into buying those crappy candies at the grocery store. Most of the time they don’t even like the candy but it brings back memories. Its nostalgia and has nothing to do with whether they actually like the candy. Well many adults buy them just because its tradition and the fact is these gross candies still continue to sell although few people actually like them and eat them. A lot of people just buy them to have them but as far as the worst holiday candies go these are definitely the top five worst.

1. Candy Hearts
Candy hearts are really not good. They look cute because they’re in all of the pastel colors and heart shaped and the fact that they remind you of being a kid at the valentines school party. But think about it, they aren’t good and the messages are even more lame than they used to be in the past. "Tweet Me" and "Text Me" that’s not romantic and it’s just stupid.

2. Peeps
Peeps have got to be one of the most disgusting treats of all time and I will never understand how that product survived. I had a roommate that would leave them open for about two weeks so they would get really hard before she ate them. Gross! You might as well go gnaw on one month old bread that’s been left on the counter. Oh wait you might need a chisel to break some parts off. Marshmallows rolled in sugar, yuck!

3. Candy Corns
Candy corns were bad at Halloween and now they’re even bringing them out for Christmas and other holidays. What will they come up with next? Fourth of July candy corns? They weren’t even good enough to bring out on Halloween. But I guess there needs to be some cheap, crappy kind of candy that you can put in a treat bowl for guests, but most likely they hate them too. Although if you hate them and put them in your treat bowl you’re not likely to eat them which can save you some calories.

4. Candy Canes

Back in the day when there were lots of different flavors of candy canes they used to not be so bad. However, many stores have a hard time selling them so they usually only carry a couple kinds and those are the kinds that are not my favorite. Plus some of the flavors have gone to far. They just aren’t good and they’ve kind of lost the novelty. Candy cane flavors seem to be getting worse and worse with time.

5. Cadbury Creme Eggs
Another unfortunate type of treat are Cadbury eggs. The chocolate eggs that have the white and yellow creme inside are kind of disturbing. First of all the cream is yellow and white like the inside of an actual egg. Yuck! And then there’s the fact that you’re just sucking out this flavorless creme. The only good part is the chocolate shell and it isn’t worth the price or the creme the gets onto it.
