Transferring files and making them accessible on more than one machine is essential now days. But what is the best way to accomplish that? No one wants to carry their laptop everywhere, and burning cd’s with data on them is just outdated. The solution is something very intuitive and easy to use. Besides that, it is free. The solution is Dropbox. Dropbox is a computer software program that links all of your computers files you store. For instance, if you update a spreadsheet on your home computer, it will automatically update on your laptop. I use it to store my writing assignments. Also, if you are at a public computer, or your friend’s computer, you can access all of your documents that are in your dropbox. In addition, you can create shared folders with friends where you can collaborate on projects or share pictures and music.
