Careers in Physical Therapy

The need for physical therapists is expected to grow from 2006-2016 by 27% and have 47,000 new jobs according to a recent Bureau of Labor Statistics report. Increasing technological advances has created many more niche fields for physical therapists. With this increase in demand, many people are going to want to become physical therapists, but in order to do that you have to get a degree from an accredited institution or a master’s degree in physical therapy and get a license to operate. If you are not interested in becoming a physical therapist, this information is still useful, for reference. If you need to rehab, it is important to choose a qualified therapist. Also, medicine and therapy technologies are changing rapidly, and these new technologies can save you thousands of dollars. Shop around before you choose a physical therapist, or do some online research. This decision could cut your rehab time significantly if you find a therapist who uses more advanced technology or is more experienced.
