Dealing With Injury

Getting injured can be a long and frustrating process. Not only is the pain unbearable, often any injury comes with months of tedious rehab. If you are injured playing a sport, you are likely unable to play that sport for a while, and that can be unbelievably provoking. Rehabbing from these injuries is usually painful, but if you do not take great care of the injury it will heal slowly or perhaps get worse.

Deron Williams, the point guard for the Utah Jazz, injured his ankle during the preseason and has been unable to play. As an NBA player, he has personal trainers constantly monitoring his rehab, but it is still taking months and he does not take any days off of rehab. Even with the best equipment and personnel, rehabbing can months. If you are not determined to get better and fail to perform your rehab exercises, your return date to sports and exercise will get pushed further and further back.
