Find Your Scholarship!

In order to get a great scholarship, it is essential to have a great resume and some great stories. For instance, many scholarships and looking for excellent students ho have overcome a recent obstacle. Also, they are looking for a student who does more than study, one who proactively looks for opportunities to learn more or get involved. This process comes easy for some people, but if that person is not you, there are a few things you can do to increase your likelihood of getting scholarship. For your scholarship application, write something entertaining but at the same time make sure it has a point. The people who are reading these applications have generally read about twenty or thirty by the time they get to your application, so make it stand out. I wrote my college entrance essays on the movie Zoolander. I used a funny movie as my theme, but tied in the quote “There is more to life than being really, really ridiculously good looking.” Just be creative and think outside the box when you are writing your scholarship essay. There is a fine line between being too creative and being creative enough, so share your essays with friends and family who will give you honest feedback.
