A lot of people fall for the college myth. When you go to college and get a useless liberal arts degree, or degree in something like art history, it may be useless. If you go to college and a teacher gets you a job, you may of never gotten that position if you never went to college. If your degree is required to be a director for a television show, and that's what you want to do, then college was worth it.

It depends on what you study.

in the real-world, what really matters is:

1. what to study

2. where to study.

smart-people study STEM
science
technology
enginnering
math
medicine.

science-degree. degree with a future. usually ends in B.S. or M.S.

humnaniites-degree, social sciences (fake science) there no science in human society. language, english, history-degeee are totally worthless in the real-world. you'll be working at the local burger-king.

usually ends in B.A. M.A.

Remember, in the real-world, people want to know What you study, Not where you study.

programming is programming
science is science
business is just business.
experiment is experiment.

one has to become relavent to the real-world, usually this means either scientific or technical skills for the real-world.
