Biome is a synonym for ecosystem. It is caused by groups of organisms, animals, and plants all working together in one little area. It is created by any single organism living in any environment. An ecosystem is started from that initial beginning point. A piece of coral starting to grow in a marine environment would be the best example. As the coral starts to grow or increase in number, marine species like fish start taking shelter and food from coral. Presently, this is now what we call the ecosystem. A smaller ecosystems nestled within a bigger ecosystem remains an ecosystem.
